Popular South African stand-up comedian Trevor Noah will be making his way back to Botswana on the 29th of November for yet another amazing show, but this time the talent comedian is not coming alone but with another celebrated comedian Eugene Khoza.
The event which will be held at the newly built Centre Arena located at Molapo crossing is expected to attract quite a large turnout as the arena is big enough to accommodate many people. Speaking to one of the organizers of the event, Leatile Bontlenyane of Blu Muffin Entertainment said they have decided to bring the two masters of comedy as they have made their mark in the comedy scenes not only in SA but in other parts of the world.
“They are some of the best we have in Africa and what better way than to bring both of them to come entertain Batswana and they have never performed together outside SA so this is a perfect time to experience this double fun,” he said.
He added that having the two men on one show will mean double fun for the audience as they would have paid one price for seeing two best entertainers in the world.
Bontlenyane continued that the other reason they decided to bring the two comedians is because all year the company has been having shows that featured artists and catered for a certain type of group but this time they have decided to cater for the comedy lovers.
“Last year when Noah came here, the response we got after the show was very positive and people wanted him back in large numbers so this is the perfect time to have him back and this time we want to make it even bigger as we feature Khoza,” he said.
Noah’s career has experienced an international breakthrough. He had his US television debut on the Tonight’s Show with Jay Leno last year. He has toured America with his one-man show ‘That’s Racist’ which made him a household name and has been doing well this year also touring many African countries.
Bontlenyane added that although it will be Eugene Khoza’s first time to come to Botswana, the talented comedian is thrilled at the idea of coming to showcase his skills to Batswana. Khoza is a comedian and television presenter who has advanced in the world of SA comedy.
Khoza has been described as a new age comedian who breaks down boundaries, builds bridges, challenges prejudices and inverts stereotypes. His performances are littered with vernacular references, vivid characterizations coupled with witty dialogue, leaving crowds whooping for more and rolling in the aisles.
The two have worked and hosted television programs together like e.tv reality competition The AXE Sweet Life in 2009.
