The recently appointed Debswana Diamond Company Managing (MD) Albert Milton has passed on in Milpark Hospital, South Africa.
The company Board Chairman Carter Morupisi has confirmed the death of Milton by issuing an internal memo to the company employees today (Friday). Milton took over as Managing Director December 1st 2018 from Balisi Bonyongo.
Milton is a 26-year veteran of Debswana. Since 2013, he has been General Manager of the Debswana-owned Jwaneng mine. He has also held various management positions at the three other Debswana mines- Orapa, Letlhakane, and Damtshaa.
“The company Chief Financial Officer Lynette Armstrong will act as MD until further notice,” Morupisi stated.
