Masa Square Hotel have launched the fifth instalment of their Fashion Show, and Fashion Mentorship program under the theme: Fashion in the Digital Age. The event was launched at a cocktail dinner hosted by the hotel recently. The Program is the first of its kind in Botswana, and the first to be hosted by a hotel. The program will see seven budding fashion designers mentored by seven professional Botswana designers.
“We are delighted to open the 2018 season of our show which has evidently grown over the years. We are proud of our growth. We are even more excited to bring our second installment of the Masa Square Hotel Fashion Mentorship Program which debuts Botswana’s rising stars in couture,” said Sales and Marketing Manager, Neo Nkele.
“Our theme for 2018 therefore is our way of upping the ante as a business-first operation to drive the relevant conversation about doing business in the digital age because the Botswana consumer today is exceptionally smart-technology savvy. Our theme challenges our fashion team and ourselves to merge traditional with modern perspectives and we look forward to bringing to Gaborone a thrilling show.”
The mentorship program commenced this week, Monday, June 18th, and the finale is scheduled for October 20 when at the Hotel where both professional mentors and mentees will showcase their latest collections.
The seven mentors for this year’s 2018 initiative are:
- Botho Chalegbwa of Botocy Designs;
