Kebonang, Makhwe and Ram in judicial scandal

The marathon legal battle between Choppies shareholders Ottapathu Ramachandran and Farouk Ismail on the one hand and PricewaterhouseCoppers (PwC) and its audit partner Rudi Binedell on the other hand has branched off into a judicial scandal, implicating high court judges in professional misconduct.

Justices Zein Kebonang and Boipuso Makhwe, who are suspected of cooking High Court rulings in favour of Choppies are cited as respondents alongside Ottapathu and Ismail in a case in which PwC and Binedell want the controversial rulings to be nullified.
