Local travel agencies are urging the government to take action and protect citizen-owned travel agencies by discouraging embassies and other large companies from engaging foreign-based firms to handle visa applications.
According to these agencies, embassies have outsourced visa application services to South African companies without considering local alternatives. These foreign application centers offer services such as form filling, travel insurance, express processing, and booking flights and accommodation.
