St Louis Export unveils top 40 under 40 nominees

Hotwire PRC on Monday night hosted the first St Louis Export top 40 under 40 pinning ceremony at Lansmore Masa Square.

The occasion brought the top 40 of Botswana’s under 40 top achievers under one roof for the award of certificates and branding pins in recognition of their achievements.

The catalysts were well embraced by the nation and were nominated for their entrepreneurial spirit, their positive impact on the community, ability to innovate and personal integrity.

“Our catalysts were nominated by members of the public for having evidenced positive change in their communities and inspiring other Batswana to be their best. The nominees are what we believe a St Louis Export consumer should be: inspirational, driven, passionate and any number of elusive qualities that make them a catalyst for change and greatness. Above all they are community builders,” said Sesupo Wagamang, Marketing Director at St Louis Export.

Three of the finalists went on to receive the judges award, an honour bestowed upon them for having made the most outstanding contribution in their respective fields and these were Monametsi Kalayamotho, Game ‘Zeus’ Bantsi and Shanti Lo.

The ceremony celebrated achievements ranging from academics, sport through to the arts.
“When we began this project we had over 120 nominees and narrowing the number down to best 40 was a real challenge. The amount of youthful talent in this country is tremendous and I am so proud to be a part of the project,” said Solomon Monyane one of the judges.

He congratulated St Louis Export for its success in tapping into the essence of what Batswana are really about and said there is a lot of talent in Botswana in all genres that needs to be earthed.
He acknowledged St Louis Export as having given Kgalagadi Breweries Limited a chance to narrate Botswana’s success story.

“I was astounded by the vision in all these individuals which also made the process quite fun!” he exclaimed.

Monyane described the event as the first instalment of a project that is very close to Kgalagadi Breweries Limited’s heart.

He said it is meant to instil a sense of national pride in Batswana and bring to the surface their evolution from just diamonds and political stability to flying the country’s flag high in other areas like music.

The evening also saw beautiful stage performances from catalyst musicians Zeus, Samantha Mogwe and poet TJ Dema.

“The international award winning St Louis Export is made up of three ingredients: water, hops and the catalyst, crystal malt. Much like the special ingredient in St Louis Export premium beer, a catalyst must demonstrate that with carefully selected ingredients and a special catalyst, a positive impact can be made,” said Sesupo.
