Police station Masisi officially ‘opened’ remained closed for two more months

Custodians of the law (in the Botswana Police Service management) knowingly helped former President Mokgweetsi Masisi seek to obtain votes by false pretences – and right inside a police station. Ironically, on that same day, BPS published a “wanted” poster for a Rasesa man who had himself obtained by false pretences.

With only 16 days left before a do-or-die election for which he was pulling all the stops, Masisi headlined an event that was billed as the official opening ceremony of the refurbished Gaborone Central Police Station (CPS). All told, four people performed speeches. Following the ceremony, BPS posted an article to its Facebook page headlined “The President Officially Opens Refurbished Gaborone Central Police Station.”
